Somisa World Series 2015... BEL @ SBN - Game 4

Pitching Match-up... Fister vs. Strasburg

This is a game that no one knew what to expect. Fister pitched OK but got beat by VER in the ALCS and Strasburg gave up a lot of hits and runs in his NLCS game.

Buoyed by the success in Game 3 but not happy with the hitting, BEL again monkeyed with its lineup which had only scored 3 runs in three games. Despite playing the key role in Game 3, Reyes was dropped to 7th and John Jaso made his first starting appearance in the series batting 2nd.

BEL had a 4 run lead and had out-scored its totals from the previous three games. The 2nd inning yielded four singles and a Reyes 3 Run home-run for a 9-0 lead.

Fister gave up 3 hits en route to a 12-1 complete game win. BEL had 14 hits and 3 HRs and hopefully found some batting capabilities.

The series was now set at 2-2 with one more game at South Bend. No home team had won a game yet in the series.

Doug Fister hurled a 3 hitter as the Bellingham Bozos crushed the South Bend

Fighting Irish 12 to 1.

Jose Reyes had a good evening at the plate.  He lost the ball over the fence

for three runs in the 2nd inning and stroked a single bringing home two

baserunners in the 4th inning.  Bellingham had 14 hits for the night.

Fister(1-0) picked up the complete game victory, allowing 1 run. Stephen

Strasburg(0-2) ended up with the loss.  He surrended 3 homeruns in his 3

innings.
